Janet Flomo

Janet Nowai Flomo lived a short and fulfilled life. She was born January 3, 1965 in Bong Mines, Bong County, Liberia to the late Mr. & Mrs. James Flomo, both parents are deceased. She was a graduate of the University of Liberia, where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees. Janet welcomed Christ in her life at an early age and was baptized at the Greater Refuge Temple Church in Bong Mines, Liberia. She was a faithful servant at the Calvary Christian Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Janet departed this life on November 17, 2022. Her lovely beautiful spirit is now soaring high above the clouds as she joins her parents, siblings, and her lovely son, Samuel Smith. Janet Nowai Flomo started her early childhood education at Zaweata Elementaiy and Junior High School in Bong Mines, Liberia. She later moved to Momovia to live with her cousin, Mrs. Grace Bemc1h Yc1tes. where she continued her education until she graduated from bjgh school and then the University of Liberia. Janet Nowai Flomo began work with the Liberia National Police Ticketing Section in 1993. Years later, in 2006, Janet Nowai Flomo was promoted to Assistant Commjssioner, to head the Records and Identification Division under the Crime Services Depaitment of the Liberia National Police. Janet held this position until 2014 when she fell sick and had to travel to the United States for medical treatment. While in the United States, Janet worked for Neuro Restorative and made lot of good friends in Kentucky. She was a devoted member of Club Kwatekeh of Kentucky. Janet dream of becoming a United States citizen was fulfilled on October 7, 2021 and had applied to bring her children and grandchildren to the United States to join her. The children and grandchildren were everything to Janet, she worked so hard to support them in Liberia. Janet leaves to cherish many precious memories, her children (Kebah Teddy Varnie and Laurine Mate Bobway), her grandchildren, Joyce Kerzer, George D. Vainie, Samuel D. Vamie and Leela Smith; her siblings Pastor Amos Flomo and Gaimah Flomo, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins. and friends, that loved her so dearly. We will so miss you Ma Nowai! Funeral:10:30 Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Calvary Christian Center, 10710 Taylorsville Rd., burial in Calvary Cemetery
