Ophelia J Brown

Ophelia Jeannette Brown was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 22, 1934, to Charles & Sallie Collins. She was the youngest of four siblings. Ophelia accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age. She graduated from Central High School and later married Joseph Brown, and they raised eight children. An extremely hard worker she worked as a production worker at General Electric Appliance Park where she retired. Ophelia enjoyed yard sales, walking and most of all church. She served as the Treasurer for the Shelby, Henry, and Oldham, Ministers, and Deacons Meeting and Church Union for several years. Ophelia “Mother” Brown was a loving, compassionate, gentle and strong woman. She is loved by many especially her family. She’s reunited with those who’s passed on before her. Joseph Brown, (Husband), Roy Brown, (Son), Joseph Keith Brown, (Son), Myron Dean Brown, (Son), Regina Bonita Brown, (Daughter). Ophelia is going to be missed by so many friends and family especially those who are here. Audrey Denise Brown, (Daughter), Ronel A. Brown, Sr., (Son), G. Denise Brown,(Daughter in Law), Johanna Brown, (Daughter), Gerald Lydell Brown, (Son). Mother Ophelia was blessed to have 12 grandchildren, Anissa Brown, Ayonna Hammond, Daniette M. Brown, Ronel A. Brown, Jr., Thobi D. Brown, Ahsha D. DeBerry, Courtney A. Brown, Jodi O. Brown, Shoshanna V. McClain, Yasmine A. McClain, Solomon J. McClain, and Gregory K. McClain. Seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mother Ophelia J. Brown, resides now in a place where there are many mansions. She is with the Lord who spoke these words “do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John 14:1-3.
