Paula Denise Lewis

Paula Denise Foree was born on December 13, 1956, to the late Dr. William Perry and Lady Roberta Foree. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend whose life was centered around faith, family, and service to others. Paula was blessed to share her life with her devoted husband/caretaker, Donald Lewis. She was the proud mother of five children: Denisha Hope, Deonna Marcella, Devonne Marie, William Leonta, and Daschanda Ronique. More than any title she held, she treasured being a mother and found great joy in caring for, guiding, and nurturing her family. A dedicated stay-at-home mother for many years, Paula poured her heart into raising her children and supporting those around her. She faithfully served in church ministry throughout her life and later worked as a substitute teacher with the Jefferson County Public School System. She had a special passion for helping children with unique needs and was known for her patience, compassion, and encouragement. Paula had a gift for making people feel welcome. Whether family, friends, foster children, or those simply in need of a listening ear, she opened her heart and home to many. She loved bringing people together, creating cherished memories through family gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments filled with laughter and love. Lovingly known as "Aunt Paula," she was admired not only by relatives but by countless people whose lives she touched. Her wisdom, kindness, strength, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. William Perry and Lady Roberta Foree; her bonus parents, Bishop and Bobbie Golder of Indianapolis, Indiana; and her beloved sister, Gwendolyn Nadine Calhoun. Our Beloved, Paula was called home to be with the Lord on June 5th 2026. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Donald Lewis; her children, Denisha Ngom (Babacar), Deonna Johnson, Devonne Taylor (Steven), William Johnson, and Daschanda Bibb (Frankie), and bonus children; her grandchildren Davion Johnson, Daylin Johnson, Mikayla Martin (Kareem), De’Asia Johnson, Miya Ford, Damarien Johnson, De’Kyla Johnson, Jayvion Bibb, Jayden Bibb, and Saraeya Jordan, and bonus grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Kali Martin and Kaliya Martin; her cousin siblings George Foree (Patricia), Pastor Doris Harris (William), bonus Talley brothers & sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, God children and very close friends whose lives were enriched by her love. Though she will be deeply missed, Paula's legacy of faith, compassion, service, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12 noon Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Kingdom Fellowship Christian Life Center, 3134 Taylor Blvd., Lou KY 40215.
