Linda Ray (Sherrod) Manion Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Linda Ray (Sherrod) Manion was born to the union of Mate Elizabeth (Greenwade) and Walter Henry Sherrod on Saturday, December 7, 1940, in Madisonville, Kentucky. She passed away peacefully after a short illness on Sunday, October 24, 2021, in Salem, Ohio. Linda attended schools in Madisonville and Louisville, Kentucky, graduating in 1959 from Louisville Central High School. Linda accepted Christ at an early age while still in Madisonville. She worked in various positions at the American Standard plant in Louisville from the mid 1970’s until its closure in the early 1990’s. Afterwards, she was transferred to their Salem Ohio facility. Eventually, Linda retired from Denman Tire as a Supervisor in 2006. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, along with her husband, Mr. Wilbert Manion, Jr., and her sisters, Ms. Carole S. Sherrod, and Mrs. Barbara D. Johnson. Linda leaves to mourn her memory, her daughter, Ms. Tracey M. Manion, of Salem Ohio; sons, Mr. Tommy D. Manion and Mr. Todd E. Manion, of Louisville KY, Mr. Anthony “Tony” S. Manion of Salem, OH and Mr. Troy F. Manion (Glenda) of Pflugerville TX; a step-son, Dominic Bearthfield of Bellevue, MS; her step-father, Mr. Bennie L. Herndon of Louisville KY; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighborhood children and friends. Visitation: 5pm-7pm Friday, November 5, 2021 at A.D. Porter & Sons Southeast Funeral Home, 4501 Bardstown Rd. Funeral: 10am Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial: Louisville Cemetery.
