Martha Ann Doyle

She was member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church for years and later united with, and became a faithful member of Immaculate Heart Catholic Church where she has been a member for 70 plus years. She was a graduate of Catholic Colored High School. She was employed at Levy Brothers, Miles Park, Wayne Supply and Churchill Downs, where she was known for showing a loving kind smile to each customer. She was a devoted loving wife and mother. She was the treasurer her local library, and helped to write some encyclopedias. She loved to shop at her favorite stores, Shop n Save, and Bacons (now Dillard’s), playing bingo, and playing cards. Martha has always been a loving and giving person. She would give so much of her time to care for her sick siblings, spending long days and nights with them. She would go out of her way to make sure all of their needs were met. Martha Ann loved her 6 children and took pride in hosting Christmas each year for them and their children. Everyone would stay the night, sleeping all over the house, and her grandchildren couldn’t wait to wake up Christmas morning to open all those Bacons gift boxes she had for them under the Christmas tree. She loved having her family all together in her presence. Martha Ann was called to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday December 20, 2021.
